Poops, Burps, Farts & Boobs

It is amazing the things I talk about now with no reservations whatsoever!  I find myself cheering Mira on when she passes gas and sometimes I feel that from time to time I have divulged a bit more than was necessary regarding the state of my nipples while adjusting to breastfeeding.  On that note, Miss Miriam had a HUGE poop yesterday.  So big that it leaked out the side of her diapers and through her PJs.

Justin and I had a nice, laid back weekend.  We opened a great bottle of wine on Friday night from our last trip to Sonoma (if you are ever out there make it a point to go to Talty; they make only zins and they are terrific!), which took us 3 nights to kill as we now have both cut way back on the drinking.  Saturday Mira had some daddy time while I had some girl time with Kay.  Sunday we started to stock up on T-giving ingredients and I started to make one of 2 desserts we will be bringing to Abbeville for T-giving--Vegan Chocolate Death Cake from the Grit cookbook and Pear Pie.  I am titling the pie Crybaby Pear Pie as Mira has been extremely fussy the last couple of days and pretty much screamed the entire time I was making the pie.  Things that had soothed her in the past don't seem to work anymore.  I now go on walks with a screaming baby...people I pass must think I am torturing her!!!

Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Abbeville to spend the holiday with Justin's mom and Colin and Becca.  I am so excited to see Becca because she is 7 months pregnant and I haven't even seen 1 picture of her during her pregnancy so far.  I am sure she looks adorable!!!  I am stressing a bit about all the things we have to pack since this will be our first overnight trip.  I'll let y'all know how it goes!

Is that a smile???

Every once in a while she will take the pacifier from me

Crybaby Pear Pie

Last night this is the only way I could get her to stop crying--holding her horizontally and holding my finger over her lips so she could suck

Look at Mira's cute PJs with built-in shoes!!!  She has graduated to 3-month PJs already!!!
