Early Thursday morning I awoke to not my daughter's screams, as usual, but to the sound of my husband puking his guts out. For the first time since I have known him Justin had a stomach bug and actually took a sick day from work! Instead of being a good wife and taking care of him, me and Mira tried to keep our distance because we didn't want to get catch the virus. Luckily it was just a 24-hour thing and Justin is better and off to work this morning.
Yesterday was a busy day for Mira and me. We went to a "Mommies Group" in the morning and then went to my work for a couple hours in the afternoon. The mommies group was helpful but I felt like I didn't have a whole lot in common with the other moms because none of them worked or were planning on going back to work. It was also a pretty granola-ish crowd, which isn't surprising (and not a bad thing either) as this is indeed Athens.
Mira is growing like a weed. Last night I put on some of her PJs that were WAY to big for her when she was a few weeks old and now they are too small!!! She is also smiling a lot more and is able to be more comforted when we try to sooth her during one of her meltdowns. Oh, and here is another big milestone: she slept last night from 11pm until 3:45am!!! That means I got close to 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep! She was probably exhausted because she had fussed basically from 6:30pm until 11pm....
Here Justin is exstatic over the bottle feeding
