An Early Start!

This morning Mira woke for her 5am feeding and did not want to go back to sleep!  Oh well, she is not fussing so although I am tired I am being fairly productive.  It is 7am and I have already fed her once, pumped breast milk for my stockpile, eaten breakfast and even sent a few emails!

I love to be squirmy!!!  Especially when mom is taking my picture!

A moment of calm...

I think that Mira has been feeling a little bit better this past week.  I am not sure if it is due to the Mylicon drops, the change in my diet (ice cream, I miss you!), we are able to interpret her cries better, or just that she is getting older.  She certainly still has her fussy periods and we have been on LOTS of walks, but I am not as frazzled as I was a week ago.

I must still have some side effects of sleep deprivation or a continuation of the "pregnancy stupids," however.  Last week I put the bread and grapes in the cupboard instead of the refrigerator (luckily it wasn't really anything perishable because they were there several days!), I keep buying the same thing at the grocery store because I have forgotten that I have already bought it, and I put the steroid cream I had been using for some bug bites on my face instead of my moisturizer.   (Oh, and Aunt Lisa, I sent you and Uncle Mark a birth announcement to your Australia address.  However, after dropping in the mail realized I didn't put any extra postage on it so it will be returned to me.  At least this stupid moment turned out for the best since you will be back in the U.S. very shortly!!!)

I am sad that it is Monday because Justin is back at work.   We had a great weekend but Justin may not agree as we spent Saturday shopping.  We had lots of coupons so we went to the outlet mall to knock out a lot of our Christmas shopping.  I also had to buy some cute clothes for Mira which she probably didn't need; it is hard for me to resist since I went so many months looking at cute baby clothes but not buying any of them since I didn't know if she was going to be a boy or a girl.  I also splurged and bought myself some clothes which I also probably don't need, but since it had also been a long time since I had been able to buy myself anything non-maternity my resistance was quite weak.

This swing is a godsend!  Thanks Kay!!!  Here Mira is in one of her favorite positions to sleep, on the swing.  In fact, she is looking quite the same right now as I write this post.  We have also figured out that she likes the hot water bottle on her tummy.  I think that there is a very similar picture of me from 33 years ago!

Ah, sleep!
