This past week has been a blur. Miriam went to the pediatrician on Monday and we found out that she has gained back her birth weight and then some--she is now 6 lbs 12 oz. Great job Mira! This also means that we don't have to wake her to feed her every 3 hours, which is nice. However, that isn't too much of a problem...
Yesterday Miriam celebrated her 2 week birthday by losing the stump of her umbilical cord. Now she can take baths in the baby bath tub instead of just sponge baths.
Justin and I are taking advantage of the fact that my mom is here in town and we are going out for a "date" night tonight. It will be short as Miriam eats every 3 hours (and it takes her 1 hour to eat) but it will be nice to have some alone time and to have a reason to get out of my PJs. By the way, thanks so much Amanda for the breast milk test strips!!!
Miriam in her "aquarium activity gym." I don't think she can see much right now but I was surprise that she spent some time there today and didn't fuss.
What a cutie!!! She is spending more and more "awake" time.
I call her my little noodle because she is so floppy once she falls asleep.
Mommy loves Mira!!!

You two are doing a fantastic job settling into parenthood. I am so impressed with your team work.
Miriam is perfection personified. Do I sound like a grandmother??? Yes and a proud one at that.
Love,
Mom
