Disney Road Trip Apprehension

So, as stated above I am a little nervous about 8 hours in the car each way to Disney.  So I have Pinterested (that should be the word of the year for 2012) myself a ton of ideas.  One of which is to give the kids a "present" to open ever 50 or 100 miles.  Some of the contents of these presents are below.  The rest are pretty much Disney princess junk I found at the $1 section at Michael's or "busy bag" items such as pipe cleaners, beads, etc.

Disney Clipboards.  I bought regular old clipboards and primed then painted them using acrylic paint.  I then traced on the mouse ears (downloaded) and painted them on.  I then applied stickers and a coat of Modge Podge.

I had been trying to figure out what to do with all these little shoe boxes.  Perfect!  A peg doll's bed!

Little dolls asleep with a towel and washcloth.  I also inserted some paper scraps left over from my wedding.

Not an artist but they turned out okay

I got the idea to put up a string across the car and hang landmarks and a cartoon of our car.  We can then move the car down the string as we drive.  Maybe it will head off some of the "are we there yet?"

Felt boards from pre-cut felt and hastily cut shapes.  I then took a clear pencil bag and put velcro on it so that it wills stick ont he back of the felt board as a little pouch for the shapes.

These pictures will be for a "I Spy" game I made.  You just get an old jar and fill it halfway with rice and then add these objects.  You print out a photo of the objects and your kid is supposed to find them all.  Yes, I glued the lids shut.

If all else fails, I downloaded the words to a bunch of sing-along type songs.  Justin is in charge of music and one screen of our DVD player is functional.  Wish me patience.
