Wow, I have been really bad about posting to the blog! I know I sound like a broken record, but again things have been busy! At the beginning of the month Justin went to California (I think that is when he went...) and then I went to California mid-month. After I returned I prepped the rest of my "busy bags" for this busy bag swap I did last weekend, and we spent some time preparing for our supper club hosting this weekend. I'll try to post about the busy bags and the supper club in a separate post.
Justin has been spending lots of time in the yard--poor guy. He loves to be out there and is even planting a veggie garden, but his allergies are just terrible. Mira has been waking up multiple times a night because "her covers are messed up." I think that she is really waking up because of allergies and the covers thing is how it is presenting.
Cecilia had her 18 month check up. She is at the 50% for heights and only the 25% for weight (still just 22lbs!). But, that is fine. We just offer her good food and if she eats it, she eats it, if she doesn't, she doesn't.
We are getting our tax money back and I am contemplating a couple of large purchases. I really cannot stand sitting on our uncomfy, urine-smelling couch. We have finally figured out how to confine the dogs securely during the daytime. Probably not a good time to invest in this but I really hate that I don't feel like I can sit down in our family room and relax. We also need a new camera (probably one of the reasons I haven't been posting lately!). It is on its last legs and sometimes doesn't even turn on.
Oh, and we also booked our Disney hotel. The Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary Resort. It is actually part of a time-share. We "rented points" from a couple that actually lives in Plymouth, MN! It is a cheaper way to get a suite within the Disney Resort. We ended up paying $300/night for a 1-bedroom suite with a kitchen and washer and dryer too. Hopefully we will also have a good view of the fireworks from the hotel.
We went to Hendershots at the beginning of the month for a kids dance party. Didn't have the energy to argue against the Cinderella costume.
I made the kids an Easter Sensory Box. Lots of eggs, grass, puffs, a carrot, and hopping bunnies. Right now I am planning their Easter baskets. I am going to try to make cute little "carrots" with icing bags stuffed with goldfish. I am also making little "bird's nests" with candy-coated chow mein noodles and mini eggs.
The carrot rattle is always a huge hit.
Mira had fun. I think she was disappointed there was no candy.
Grabbing some grub at 5 Guys after I drug the family to the outlet mall with me!
Hanging out on the plasma car. Mira is only interested because Cecilia was trying to ride it.
Mira got to try on her costume last week at dance. At least it is good quality--I think it cost $65!!!!
