Easter Weekend has come and gone in a flash! We had breakfast with the Easter bunny and then an egg hunt at the local park on Saturday but unfortunately Mira was feeling under the weather. She was running a low fever and even fell ASLEEP in the middle of the floor at the childcare facility at the YMCA. She powered through, though, and was a new person Sunday. After a run for both me and Justin and a yummy wild rice waffle breakfast we did some searching for baskets and eggs at home. I limited the candy to fruit snacks, a chocolate bunny, and a few homemade treats in the baskets. No candy in the eggs. I think this will not work next year! In the late morning we headed to ATL to go to the Fernbank. We figured it would be an ideal day to go since it probably wouldn't be busy. We were correct.
Dying eggs. Not much interest.
playing out in the grass Justin has been able to resurrect
Ceci LOVED seeing the Easter bunny. At least from afar... read on!
She didn't so much enjoy sitting next to him. Mira really wasn't much help.
Rare pix of mom
Ceci had help with these eggs. A kind little girl shared.
Mira was very excited to wear her special dress from Shu-shu and had no interest in searching for eggs. She just wanted to swing.
Cute idea I found for the basket. Goldfish inside disposable pastry bags.
Ceci enjoying her basket. At first she thought she had to share with Mira.
Smiles. She still won't look DIRECTLY at the camera, but this was close.
Mira loved her purse and insisted on bringing it everywhere with her on Sunday. She obviously loved the beach towel as well!
show-off!
