Mira hanging out on the front porch. I want to get her a kid-size rocker! She LOVES to clap! I think she is going to be a musician because she can hear really well and she also loves it when you make any sort of unusal noise or clicking sound!
Mira hanging out at the pool. She hadn't been in the water since our lessons at the YMCA. I had to get her a new swimsuit as I just couldn't bear to think about stuffing her into the 12-month suits she had been wearing in June. This one is a 2T so hopefully it will fit her for a while!
Exhaused after the pool party! She had missed her nap that afternoon.....just stood up in her crib haning onto the rails for 45 minutes and talked to herself!
Today is Mira's first day at Waseca. We are really sad that Amanda and Armaya won't be looking after her anymore, but it is time for Amanda to go to school. The whole situation turned out so much better than I could have imagined back in January.
This week will be full of new experiences for Mira: 6 new baby friends and 2 new caregivers, cloth diapers, naps with all the lights on and kids in the room, and more! When I dropped her off this morning she was pretty engrossed in the other kids and didn't really seem to care that I left...which I am happy about!
Yesterday Mira turned 10 month old and I think that I need to formulate a plan for weaning her from the bottle and boob. I still get up every night and pump since Mira is such a good sleeper and I am paranoid about my milk supply. I guess the first step is to cut that out. Sadly enough, I think I will miss it! I actually spend some time on Facebook and have time to reflect on some bizarre dreams!
Later on this week Justin will be going to Albany for Matt & Megan's wedding. We had been planning on all going but last week I decided that Mira and I should back out. I just couldn't imagine the logistics of staying in a hotel room with a pre-toddler....wondering when/how she could or would nap, bringing along all her baby food, etc. We thought that all Justin's friends would be bringing their babies too so we would all be in the some boat, but that is not the case as most of the other parents have grandparents in the area. Oh well, Mira and I will have to rent some girly movies and eat chocolate.
Speaking of chocolate, Justin finally conceded that I won our crawling bet and bought me a WONDERFUL chocolate mousse cake from the Georgia French Bakery near his work. Thanks sweetie! YUMMMM!

I hope that Mira is enjoying her new day care. I bet she does, Jay said she was a very interactive and observant little girl, so all new stimulation must be fun for her. She gets cuter all the time! I'm only a little jealous that Jay has met her and I haven't. Just a little.
