This week was Mira's first week at Waseca, a Montessori daycare/preschool. It has been an adjustment for all of us! I think Mira's bum is a little sore from the cloth diapers, but there is no rash, thank heaven! Her naptimes have also been adjusted quite a bit and so many of the evenings when she came home she wasn't in the best of moods. But I talked with the teacher and with the aftercare provider and I think we have it straightened out.
Justin is in Albany at Matt & Meg's wedding. We were all planning on going, but the thought of dragging a sleep-deprived baby halfway across the country was a daunting task that I decided I was not up to! Mira and I had a great day on our own. We went to the Farmer's Market and listened to some jazz, picked up drawer and cabinet pulls at Home Depot, did the weekly grocery shopping, went for a walk, and made salted caramel ice cream. Oh, and Mira sampled some Science Diet Oral Care and seemed to like it. I hope that doesn't say anything about my cooking!
