Crawling Faster Than Ever!

Things have been busy here in the Widener household as usual. Right after we got back from Beaufort Justin went to Haiti. I'll let him blog about that in another post.... Well, as soon as he went to Haiti we had a throw-up festival here in Athens. Miriam threw up on that Friday night and Cecilia threw up on Saturday and Sunday in Target and Trader Joe's, respectively. Both were rather embarassing for mom. In Target there were several big puddles on the floor and several greeting cards covered in puke. In Trader Joe's she just puked all over me. I stank but we still made our next stop at Kroger--who lets a little puke get in their way? I also broke down that weekend and bought Mira an Ariel barbie. Yes, I have now fed the Disney marketing machine. I give up.

Ceci continued to get sicker, however, and she ended up having a UTI. The whole diagnosis experience was horrible. Wednesday of that week we spent 3 hours in the hospital while she got a chest x-ray, catheter, and blood draw from her arm. The blood draw was terrible as they couldn't find her vein. She also had to get 2 separate doses of IM antibiotics. Poor girl! She is going back on Monday to have some more tests done to make sure that she doesn't have kidney reflux.

Last weekend Justin and I had a date night which was AWESOME. We had to be back by around 8pm because our babysitter was going to a bachelorette party, but we didn't care. The main thing was that we wanted the kids in bed by the time we got home and they were!

Today is Saturday and it has been a great day thus far. We went to the Farmer's Market and then blueberry picking at a new place called Miller's Farm. TONS better than Washington Farms!!! Now I am blogging, and in a few minutes we are going to go to try out this Jamacian/Indian restaurant Kabana that has ample outdoor seating and is BYOB.

I found this enormous dollhouse on our UGA forsale listserv. Mira loves it!

Typical morning. Me trying to get food in both girls before heading out the door!

Just one of quite a few cool pictures I took of Mira. I had to restrain myself from posting more!
