Cecilia joined our family at 12:58 pm yesterday, September 18. She weighed in at 6lb. 5oz. and 19-3/4 inches in length. Delivery was a breeze compared to last time (which wasn't too bad either) because I think the epidural was more even. I felt a little funny Friday after my regularly-scheduled doctor's appointment and had a hard time sleeping. Woke up at 5:30am with contractions about 10 min. apart. John and Josette (thank you thank you thank you!!!!) came over to take care of Mira at about 8am and when we got to the hospital I was already 7cm dilated. The doctor had a c-section to perform so he waited to break my water until about 10:45. By shortly after noon I was pushing, and Cecilia came out (face up instead of down) shortly thereafter. I think it would have been quicker if she was faced the proper way. Made me VERY happy that I had a epidural!!!!
Mira came over briefly and met Cecilia yesterday. I think that she thought that Cecilia was a doll until she started crying after Mira stole her hat and bopped her on the head (unintentionally)!!!
