The past 2 weeks we have been dying down here in Athens due to the heat! Most days are in the mid to upper 90's. It is really too hot to even take the dogs on a walk before sundown. Good thing that Mira has her outside time first thing in the morning.
Pretty funny, Justin doesn't like Mira to wear these shorts because he thinks they are "Daisy Dukes!" Note her shoes. She has been obsessed with taking her shoes on and off. I think these are the only ones she can get on 100% by herself.
This week is our week to make lunches for Mira and her classmate Naomi. Naomi's mom asked if anyone wanted to split up the days (I was the only volunteer) BEFORE telling the fellow moms and dads that Naomi is a vegetarian. So Mira is at least a lunchtime vegetarian this summer! However, it has actually been easier than I anticipated. This week I made a bean and rice salad and a sandwich spread made out of tofu, peanut butter, banana, applesauce and lemon juice.

Once again, last weekend was VERY busy, but also quite productive. We had 2 BBQs to attend, 1 of which I organized (but it was NOT held at our house, thank goodness!). Justin also finished up painting the walls in the girls' room. I am so proud of him--they look WONDERFUL! Now we just have little things like light fixtures, closet door, etc. Good thing, though, because our next free weekend is more than a month from now!
