Is there a parrot in the house???

It is amazing the changes that we have seen in Mira in just the last few months! She is a big talker now, although we don't always understand what she is saying... She also peed and pooped on the potty a few times in the last couple of weeks. I don't think she'll be potty trained for a while because she still can't tell us WHEN she has to go, I think it has just been by chance that she has to do some business when we put her on the toilet.

Mira also had her 18-month check up last week. She had a really bad swollen leg from one of the vaccines, but everything else turned out just fine. She is holding steady in the 90th percentile for weight and height! Her new favorite food is pickles and she can say PICKLE very well!

We have been busy with BBQs, puppet shows, school spaghetti dinners and more! Next week I am furloughed on Friday and so I am taking Mira on her school field trip to Washington Farms and then we are all headed down to Beaufort to visit Shoo-shoo.

OK, maybe this is too graphic. Her first potty experience! And a poop at that!

Burke and Mira. Burke is such a cutie! Eight months old ALREADY!

Yes, Mira is a good eater. She had just tried to "drink" the yogurt from her bowl!

I thought that planting some flowers together would be a good family activity. Mira wasn't interested at all. She kept wanting to play with the next door neighbor's cat, Judas. Thanks to Daddy Mac for her cute red shoes!

She did, however, like to take the empty flower pots and fill them with driveway gravel. How exciting!
