Spring Has Sprung....FINALLY!

I am happy to say that it is finally warming up here in Athens! This past week flew by because Justin was out of town the whole week--first in Missouri, then Texas. Maybe he'll post some pictures of all the cattle he saw at the ranch!

Last weekend was pretty laid-back, as far as that goes for the Wideners. Justin is working very hard on perfecting the ceiling in our old bedroom. I am working very hard taking care of the kiddo and doing the day-to-day and week-to-week cooking and errands.

This weekend we were supposed to go for a date night, but our babysitter was sick so it was cancelled. Apparently she is busy with drivers ed and social events for the next 6 weeks, so I think we're going to have to find a back-up!

Today we went over to Gene & Ashley's house for an Easter Egg hunt. Mira really didn't get what was going on until it was time to go! Mira has lots of new words and is starting to put words together. "No cracker" and "More milk please" are begging to become quite frequent. She is engaging in a lot of pretend play as well, such as trying to put shoes on her baby doll, giving the baby doll kisses, etc. She is also currently obsessed with a pink jacket that she got from Omie/Sophia. She insists on wearing it whenever she sees it, so she often has it on over her PJs. How silly!

Walking down to the neighborhood park

Contemplating what to do first!

The slide is always fun!

But the playground is MUCH more fun when Daddy gets involved!

Dressed up in new duds (thanks to Caroline/Ella for the vest!)

Mira was feeling a bit under the weather this weekend....here she is with her sad face

At the Easter Egg hunt. She didn't quite get what was going on and was a little intimidated by the other kids at first.

Mira was lucky enough to find a Reeces peanut butter cup egg. She tried to eat the foil too!

Sharing with mom. What a sweet girl!
