Snow Day!

Yesterday it snowed about 7 inches here in Athens!  Then the temperature dropped to 24 degrees overnight, so UGA is closed today.  It is not smart to try to drive anywhere in snow or ice in the South as there is not the infrastructure to plow the roads or even put down adequate amounts of sand/salt.  It is too bad Mira is so little!  We probably won't get snow like this for a long time!  But I guess she will have adequate opportunities to see the snow when we are up in Minnesota visiting my family.

It is now after 2pm and although it is probably in the 40's, I wouldn't be surprised if we still have snow on the ground tomorrow.  I am trying to figure out what I spent the day doing....and it pretty much boils down to taking care of the baby and finishing laundry!  I hope to get a little cleaning done this afternoon, but I am obviously stalling as I am blogging right now!

Again, home sweet home!

Snowmen are so much fun!

The streets are still full of snow
