Beach Vacation in Beaufort

The Wideners had originally scheduled a beach trip to Gulf Shores, AL this summer but the oil spill put an end to that. Instead, we decided to head over to Beaufort and just make sure we did vacation-y types of things. It was great to take some time off of work and for the girls to spend time with Shu-Shu.

The first day we went to the pool in the morning. It was great because they had a kiddie pool too, and the water was really warm, just how I like it. Above is Mira taking her first dip. Since she got her tubes a couple weeks ago we actually should have had her earplugs in but forgot! Oops!

Friday morning we headed to the beach. VERY different from our last trip to the beach. Mira absolutely LOVED it!!! She spent most of her time just throwing herself into the ocean. She has absolutely no fears, so we have to be very attentive!

I am very happy to report that Mira LOVES shrimp. Not really a surprise because she likes so many foods. Again, I was amazed at how many shrimp she consumed. Justin couldn't peel them fast enough!

Before we left Beaufort we were able to stop by and see Angel, John, Anna-Katherine and Jack. Unfortunately I don't have any good pictures of all the kiddos together.

Angel and I are pregnant together yet again! She is due about 6 weeks before me, also with a girl!
