May is the last month of "school" for Mira, so there have been lots of field trips and extracurricular-type activities. The month began with a trip to Washington Farms where the class picked berries and visited the petting zoo.
Mira all dolled up in her watermelon sunglasses
Throwing rocks into her BF Nate's bucket
Running down the aisle
Surprisingly she didn't figure out she could eat them until most were already picked!
The weekend that we went to the Strawberry Patch my mom and dad also came down to visit, and we all piled up with the dogs in the minivan and headed down to Beaufort to visit Ann and John.
Drinking mint juleps before watching the Kentucky Derby. Mine was club soda with mint!
Hanging out on John's porch being WILD!
The weekend after the trip to Beaufort we went on a day-trip to Atlanta to look for furniture at Scott's Antique Market. We looked and looked and looked, and everything was out of our price range and not quite right. Then, we visited the outside portion of the North building and I found the furniture of my dreams for the girls' room! Very cute, shabby-chick type look. We bargained the dealer down to $500 for 2 dressers with a mirror and 2 nightstands. Now I just have to figure out the color scheme for the room! That will make Justin very happy as he is waiting on me to do the painting!
Justin was in San Francisco last weekend at Sean's bachelor party and I failed to get any pictures of Mira. I took some time off Friday to on a field trip to Memorial Park with Mira's school and then we had some quality girl time on Saturday at the Farmer's Market, YMCA, and a brief visit to Kay's girls' margarita night!
