Happy Halloween everyone! This is a long weekend for us because I was furloughed on Friday. I can't complain too much because at least I have a job. I tried to ignore how much I was losing this pay period but it says in big letters on the paycheck "AMOUNT FURLOUGHED." Depressing to think that I'll be losing almost $1200 if there are no more furloughs that those already planned...and that of course I got no raise the last review period and because Georgia is so backward that means the very soonest I could ever get better compensation is January 2011. UGH. I'll stop complaining. Like I said above, I am indeed thankful that I have a job.
Mira's school Halloween party was yesterday and we went out trick-or-treating and over to Nanette's house today. Mira's party was fun but VERY crowded and a little hectic so we didn't stay for too long. The last few days the weather has been really crappy so it was up in the air as to whether or not we would even make it out tonight. But we did and had a great time!
Obviously Mira is a duck. She was supposed to be a Teddy bear but alas, that was for kids 6-12 months and not meant for walkers.

She was a good ducky! There were little booties that went over her feet but they were not too practical to wear outside.
What a cute bootie! Mira ran around waddling like a duck and even would batt her arms around every once in a while so it looked like she was trying to flap her wings! This, of course, was not intentional!
We didn't try to put the hood up to often because she didn't like it because she couldn't see. Can't really blame her....
A shot with the bow in her hair! I have to sneak them in because she likes to take them out and chew on them!
The Wideners all dressed up! My mom and dad wore the outfits many years ago for a Halloween party. I even remember it! I was young enough that I had to have a babysitter! Justin and I love Halloween and actually met at a Halloween party. And the rest was history....
