Transition Time

Drama Queen. She has been trying out several different fake cries lately. One of them turned out to be real, though, because she was diagnosed with an ear infection yesterday at the doctor. Oops, bad mom and dad!

Our dogs love running around the house after the bath and so does our kid!

Ms. Serious

Playing with her toys from Cousin Sophia and Aunt Stephanie. We're looking forward to seeing them for Thanksgiving!

Justin got a baby carrier off of Craigslist...he now has a list of things he wants, which is very unusual. On his list are a $2,000 deer rifle and a shed. Not exactly a realistic list!

I am happy it is finally the weekend! Last weekend I did some Christmas shopping (I'm trying to get all my Minnesota people done with by Thanksgiving!) and Justin worked on the house. An end might be in sight. We received our decorative tiles for the fireplace and now we have to get the matching field tiles, which might require a trip to Atlanta. We'll see.

There have been lots of new adjustments for Miriam this week. We turned her car seat aroun and she seems to enjoy facing front now. We are also transitioning her from the infant class to the pre-primary class at Waseca. Her new teacher, Tabithe, says that she is doing pretty well. The pre-primary class goes outside to the playground several times a day, and apparently Mira loved it! They also do not spoon-feed the kiddos--they have to feed themselves. This is a challenge for Mira. She has got the cup down (non-sippy cup, mind you!) but she tends to turn the spoon over and dump the contents before they reach her mouth. She is a very independent creature and does not allow you to guide her hand so I have been trying different ways to teach her how to use the spoon.
